Why therapy?

Sometimes, our usual tricks for getting through the day fail us. Whether we call it depression, anxiety, a breakdown, or just feeling stuck, we know we want a healthier way to live.

We might be struggling to cope with a major loss - be it a person or a way of life. We may be facing a serious illness, or a seemingly impossible situation at home, school or work. We may find ourselves doing things we cannot understand, such as harming ourselves, or lashing out. Or perhaps we find the thought of leaving the house - or just getting out of bed - too much to contemplate.
